The project is realised with the help of the Luxembourg Government and the European Institute of Cultural Routes, with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture, Bulgaria. The first presentation of the project is at the Regional meeting in Opatia, by the President of Bulgaria Georgi Purvanov.
The website provides rich information for the cultural heritage, together with detailed maps of the region - the final idea is to provide information for the possibilities for cultural tourism in the region. The website provides the back-office with a complete CMS for the entire website's content.
The project HERITAGE: ESPRIT project (2007-2008) is selected in a competition of the Ministry of Science and Culture (2006) and is realized in partnership among The University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy, The National Academy of Arts, Association for Cultural Tourism and Bulgarian National Committee of ICOMOS. During the project the website was made bilingual, translated in Bulgarian, and cultural heritage database was updated with numerous cultural heritage sites. The GIS data was integrated with Google Maps. The website structure was transformed in order to help users navigate through the heritage sites in South East Europe.
